Building Relationships
We are committed to partnering with others for the development of our business as well as academic research to benefit the industry at large.
magazineOne
MagazineOne is a networked search engine for publications. It enables readers, writers, and researchers of all kinds to discover and follow the important voices and opinion leaders in their field of interest. For authors, magazineOne provides a platform to connect to readers and get a picture of the people that are reading and sharing their publications. Sociomantic labs fuels the platform’s content discovery mechanisms by providing an online social graph of the author networks. MagazineOne will enter a beta version in Fall 2010.
PubliGroupe
PubliGroupe offers media sales and marketing services for press, directories, television, film, radio, internet, and other media in Switzerland and beyond. The sociomantic labs joined with PubliGroupe in 2010 to support the growth and optimization of their digital marketing services by supplementing their back-end systems for online display advertising. Together, we gather and analyze billions of data sets on a real-time basis to drive gross profits.
Queensland University of Technology
In 2009, we began a research partnership with the ARC Centre of Excellence for Creative Industries and Innovation at QUT in Australia. Currently we provide support for a large-scale, three-year project to investigate processes of online public communication in Australia as they unfold across the social web on sites like Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, and the wider blogosphere. The sociomantic labs support this project by providing tracking and analysis of these communications as they emerge onto the public web. Find out more by visiting the website of Dr. Axel Bruns, head of the project.
Universität St. Gallen
In his time as a research associate at Universität St. Gallen’s Institute for Media and Communications Management, our managing Dr. Thomas Nicolai designed a research platform called Alexandria. Later, Dr. Nicolai would work together with Lars Kirchhoff (our VP Product Management and Innovation) to develop the publication search engine ScientificCommons, built upon many of the same concepts as the Alexandria platform. Today, we continue to cooperate with MCM Institute at St. Gallen to maintain Alexandria.
web2com
Web2com is a Swiss company providing solutions in the field of online marketing, offering “Intermix-Marketing” that combines online branding and performance activities into the existing marketing mix. Sociomantic labs optimizes web2com’s ad4max ad network by integrating our social targeting and yield optimization solutions, and they continue to help us improve and refine our technologies and offerings in the field of online display ad targeting.
