Chris Gurciullo Joins Sociomantic North America as New Vice President for East Coast Sales

Programmatic Expert Joins Sociomantic To Drive Company Growth In North America

We are thrilled to announce that Chris Gurciullo has recently joined Sociomantic as Vice President, East. Based in our New York office, Chris will be managing our sales force and driving revenue growth on the East Coast. A recognized sales leader focused on customer excellence and satisfaction, he will focus on helping retail and travel marketers connect with consumers through data-driven personalized messaging.

According to comScore, digital commerce accounted for $1 of every $7 of consumer discretionary spending in Q1 2015. Yet, a relatively small percentage of overall advertising budgets are currently being allocated towards personalized, targeted campaigns. At Sociomantic, we are here to change that in an effort to benefit both brands and consumers alike.

“Marketers are eager to use data in a smarter way and to have direct, more personalized conversations with their consumers,” Chris remarks. “No two consumers are alike and for too long, brands have used the same message to engage with individual consumers who have different interests, needs and shopping behaviors. Sociomantic has built its technology from the ground up to enable marketers to have one-on-one conversations with consumers.”

The company’s presence in North America is growing more than ever as the US becomes an increasingly complex programmatic market. “Sociomantic has a great team of people who understand what marketers need, and they have built the technology to solve complex business problems,” adds Chris. “Over the last two years, I’ve heard more and more about Sociomantic and their ability to drive incredible results and offer exceptional customer service. I see a huge opportunity to appeal to a broader set of advertisers in need of stronger performance and improved service.”

Chris previously worked at Rocket Fuel as the Director of Enterprise Sales for the East Coast. There, he managed a team of direct-to-client sellers focused primarily on the retail, travel and finance verticals. He won multiple sales awards for his work with major retailers and helped develop data-driven programmatic plans for brands like Chase, Macy’s, and The Body Shop. Prior to Rocket Fuel, Chris worked at Akamai, where he helped businesses like Nikon, Office Depot and Jos. A. Bank build and grow their programmatic strategies. During his time there, he earned the Titan’s Club award for driving significant growth for the business.
