Sociomantic Labs Welcomes Wijaya Santoso as Country Director for Indonesia

Mobile Advertising Expert Joins Our South East Asia Team

Today, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Wijaya Santoso as Country Director, Indonesia. Santoso will spearhead the local market development strategy from the Jakarta office to further support our rapid growth in South East Asia.

Our regional headquarters in Singapore was set up in 2013. Since then, we’ve had the chance to work with market-leading e-commerce advertisers in the region like ZALORA, Berrybenka and Luxola to deliver programmatic advertising for the full funnel. Operations in South East Asia have gained significant momentum over the last 12 months, and now Santoso will help the team reach full speed in its regional expansion.

Santoso brings to his new role a passion for and expertise in digital and mobile advertising gained during his experience at pioneering companies of Indonesia’s digital scene. He joins Sociomantic from XL Axiata, one of Indonesia’s largest telecom operators, where he was Head of Mobile Advertising. During his time at XL, Santoso spearheaded the mobile advertising division, tasked with building out the company’s mobile solutions. He faced the added challenge of working in a market considered far behind others in the world when it comes to the adoption of digital advertising.

However, with strategic vision and precision, he brought the new mobile solutions to market and grew XL’s reputation as a trusted mobile advertising partner for brands and agencies. Under his leadership, the mobile advertising division doubled revenue in the first year.
