The Commercial Lead for China is in charge of developing new business and ensuring growth and profitability within the region. He or she will build new partnerships and leverage existing relationships in order to provide our clients with the best inventory the market has to offer. Leading from the front, our new Commercial Lead will be instrumental in supporting the team in China to achieve their strategic business goals. Providing leadership, mentoring and career development, this critical position sets the benchmark for the China region.

 Your Mission
  • Establish new B2B relationships with key executives, clients and partners
  • Lead from-the-front and hunt in a competitive marketplace, target the highest value new business (C-level) and deliver it into the Sales Pipeline
  • Support a small service team by strategically growing existing business and assisting with key client meetings (C-level)
  • Recruit, train and develop new employees
  • Develop strategic marketing and sales plans to boost profit and improve efficiency
  • Promote Sociomantic’s products and solutions externally through participation in industry trade events and other marketing initiatives
  • Coordinate the efforts of various departments within the region, such as legal, finance, marketing and sales, to meet company goals
  • Provide thought leadership to position the firm as an expert in all things RTB, programmatic and full funnel services in China
  • Set short- and long-term goals, define the strategies and design the roadmap for achieving them
  • Motivate and mentor a collaborative and cohesive local team
Your Track Record
  • Degree in Business, preferably a Master degree in Business (or equivalent) or relevant business experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development
  • Experience in working in an international environment
  • A proven track record of devising, implementing and achieving corporate goals
  • Proven, visible, open, and engaging leadership style
  • Experience in designing and executing complex business strategies
  • Ability to manage a small team, and to win, manage and motivate top tier talent
  • Strong familiarity with online marketing industry and in particular RTB / programmatic and full funnel strategies
  • Must possess highest caliber organizational, planning, and supervising skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin and be a clear, strategic thinker
  • Cantonese skills advantageous
  • Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable, profitable business results
  • Strong business acumen and financial savvy
  • Results-driven, but not at the expense of company values
  • Intimate knowledge of organizational policies, procedures and objectives
  • Willing to travel frequently to visit customers and potential work sites
  • Build long-term sustainable relationships with customers and partners
