Legal Counsel (Privacy / Commercial) – Parental Leave Cover (full-time / part-time)

Your Mission

  • Working with the dunnhumby (parent entity) legal team and different stakeholders at Sociomantic level (including Research and Development team and Solutions team) in implementing privacy compliant standards and processes (particularly based on GDPR)
  • Responsible for reviewing, negotiating and implementing various customer and supplier contracts, particularly focusing on privacy related contracts
  • Responsible to handle internal and external requests related to data protection and privacy topics
  • Support in reviewing, drafting and negotiating other business-related contracts and policies on a national and international level
  • Support in implementation and supervision of internal compliance rules and regulations
  • Support the Sociomantic Legal team in other legal matters on a national and international level (contract law, corporate law, commercial law)
  • Perform legal research and prepare reports and memoranda
  • Report directly to the Department Head of the Sociomantic Legal team
Your Track Record
  • Successfully completed second state examination (“Volljurist”) or business law degree (“Wirtschaftsjurist”) preferably in Germany; we also consider candidates with education in other European jurisdictions
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an inhouse counsel or in a law firm, preferably with a focus on data protection and/or commercial law
  • Fluency and strong communication skills in written and spoken German and English
  • An enthusiastic and highly energetic team player
  • Ability to work independently, be proactive, pay attention to detail and be well organized
  • Think globally to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
